A new challenge on Daily Paintworks. Pantone colours for 2016. These happen to be Serenity and Rose Quartz. I have to admit I have never heard of Pantone Colours before this.

I am not normally into limited palattes but hunted through some ideas and came across a picture of my dog Esther swimming at sunset at Hahei, New Zealand.

Esther has mixed feeling regarding water  She loves it but has fear at the same time but usually she ends up swimming determinedly for a stick.

Tea Pot Challenge

With the New Year come plans.  With the time off over Christmas and New Year I have started organising my days so that I can paint most days.

Starting off small I spent some time yesterday completing a DailyPaintworks Tea Cup challenge.

Daily Paintworks is a site I joined In November after reading Carol Marine's book  "Daily Painting".  I was so inspired to find someone who had decided on painting little and often. I was already doing this but I found Carol had been doing this for a long time and in fact there are a whole group of artists who paint this way.

Here is my January 1st painting. Tea cup fun. It was done quickly and as I am just getting back into painting after a couple of weeks off was very much a "see what comes off this moment."
